  1.  HOW TO SET UP USENET

  4.  Select item B from the F5 Messages menu.

  6.  Select ADD A GROUP, you will see a list of all of the current
  7.  available groups, the list is quite long. There are more than just the
  8.  ALT. groups, so be sure not miss any <G>.  Find the name of the group
  9.  you wish to access, press ESC and type the exact entire name into the
  10.  space provided on the screen.  A confirmation screen will appear
  11.  asking if this name is correct.

  13.  After you've answered YES, another screen will appear with a brief
  14.  name of the group.  You can edit this one, if you like, to anything
  15.  you wish, just like you can the forums and sigs.

  17.  You will then be asked if you would like to make this group PERMANENT.
  18.  If you say YES, RAINBOW access this group on every pass, and the first
  19.  time, it will get only 50 messages. After that it will get ALL new messages
  20.  which you have not yet downloaded. You might be surprised to find your 
  21.  self downloading hundreds of messages.  MY SUGGESTION......say NO.

  23.  Once you have all of the groups you want entered, select them one by
  24.  one.  The next screen give you instructions on how to get the HIGH and
  25.  LOW message range for the group.  Change the 1- in the highlighted box
  26.  to 0.  On your next pass, to delphi, select CUSTOM RUN and include 99
  27.  for USENET and RAINBOW will go to each group and get only the HIGH and
  28.  LOW message numbers.

  30.  You can select option B again from the F5 messages menu to select
  31.  whether to now get ALL of the messages posted to the group, a range of
  32.  messages, subjects only, or headers only.  If you want ALL of the
  33.  messages do not change the number in the block.  If you want a range,
  34.  backspace out the number that is there, and type in the range.  For
  35.  headers or subjects add either an H or an S before the -, or select a
  36.  range for either (ie 100S-, 350S-500S, 550H-800H, etc).  On your next
  37.  pass, RAINBOW will get what you've requested.

  39.  If you are like me, you will probably want the last 50-100 messages
  40.  posted.

  42.  If you've selected subjects or headers only, you will need to once
  43.  again select option B from the F5 menu, select the group, and a box
  44.  will appear asking if you would like the list sorted.  This puts al of
  45.  the threads together so you can follow the conversation.  Select the
  46.  subjects or headers you want to get the complete message for, and
  47.  RAINBOW will get the messages on the next pass.

  49.  Once you have actually received the messages, you will see the groups
  50.  listed with your forums and you can read the messages just like you do
  51.  forum messages.
